“What would you rather have a BMW or a ford come one”..
Who’s that question aimed at? I mean, people that buy Mustangs buy them because they like Mustangs. People that M3s buy them because they like M3’s.
Mustangs , and M3 s etc are built to appeal to fans of those cars, and not the average car buyer that compare prices and practicality, so comparing them isn’t make someone buy an M3 over a Mustang is it!

Top gear might be biased but in there defense as an american, most cars in our country are cheaply mad with a big v-8 and thats it. plastic interior, shit sat nav, terrible durability and most are to heavy for the shitty suspension. Im just saying they compared this mustang to a M-3. What would you rather have a BMW or a ford come one… then for supercars, a Zr1 or Srt-10 Acr (srt10 is crap) for 110k or get a ferrari or a porsche real sport/supercars

the bias from top gear is always epic, and funny. having lived in england and america, the roads and most conditions are completely different. nevada roads aren’t anywhere near york roads. and the 447 is good at the wheels.

Like I said, the Mustang can be used as a practical family car, the Lotus is just a toy. How does that make the Lotus better?
My old friend had a Lotus. Fine if you have one person in it, but he said the performance was affected with two people in it.

@pisswizzard
It doesn’t mean it’s a better car just because it’s nimble.
I’m over six foot and have quite alot of shopping to fit in a car. Is the Lotus gonna be better? I struggle to get in and out of one, and you stand a better chance of survival in a Mustang if you crash.
And if you fit two people in the rousch, chances are the extra weight won’t effect the performance unlike the Louts, which has no interior luxury, and weight is kept down to a min.

you mean in a straight line. The Lotus is a better, more nimble, agile and quicker car…and it does it with an engine under two litres. End of discussion.

@ZMSPr0ductions I dont mind it too much its just when they run down a classic like the GT390 or present the cars in such a harsh biased light…I mean i dont mind a little joking but come on they are smart enough to know what the numbers on…thanks for the reply man

Hey, we all have our preferences, and I completely respect yours. I’m just saying that I prefer the look and feel of my 68 fastback.

GT390 the numbers 390 refer to the cubic inches and the GT500 is claiming 500 crank horsepower….This is why I hate this show, they are extremely biased and do not present good information

@velapulsar
My point goes back to what I said earlier. The Lotus and Mustang are two completely different cars, with totally different target markets, different manufacturer origins, and totally different uses.
Alot of euro cars would loose against a Lotus, why does he have to compare it to an American car?, why not compare it against another euro car.?
He does it to make the Mustang and American cars look bad. But the sales figures of the Mustang prove otherwise.

@velapulsar
But a Big rig has more power than an Exige, would that make it a fair race?
If you actually watch the Jeremy clarkson Video, the Mustang beats the Lotus in acceleration, and speed, it’s just the fact it has to slow down abit at the bends. But like I said, the rousch isn’t a race track car, unlike the Lotus. Test the Rousch against the Lotus in the conditions the Rousch was built for, it’d eat the Lotus.

I know Hammond is a muscle car fan. I’m not knocking this review, as he seems to be quite fair with it.

HAHAHA! I see what he did there in the last few seconds of the video

The point is that the Exige is not a high end car, and has nowhere near the power of the Rousch.
